Chapco Infrastructure Services Moves into Telecommunications Arena

Leicestershire based Chapco (Infrastructure Services) Limited one of the Chapco companies leading providers in Property, IT Support, Facilities Management and Infrastructure Services has today announced the acquisition of Leighton Buzzard based Globe Worldwide Limited.

Globe Worldwide Ltd, founded in 2005 after the merger of DCP Communications Limited and Opus Enterprises Limited, is one of the UK's leading providers of resource and project management solutions for companies involved in the communications infrastructure market. The company supplies major OEMs, Network & Mobile operators with a complete range of resource and telecoms turnkey solutions. Working in partnership with leading industry names to deliver a full range of technical solutions, to the highest quality standards required by the industry, including ISO 9000 and ISO 14001. Globe has recently become one of the first companies in the UK to achieve TL 9000 certification, a quality management benchmarking system specifically developed to meet the quality requirements of the worldwide telecommunications industry.

The acquisition sees Paul Thomas Operations Director retained with the business and the departure of Steve Olson and Nick Sievewright. Paul Thomas will take up a new position as Technical Delivery and Service Director within Globe and will continue to take responsibility for the day to day operations.
